Contractor Continuing Education

REQUIREMENT FOR LICENSED CONTRACTORS

All Utah contractor licenses are scheduled to expire on November 30, 2009. The Utah State Legislature has determined that six hours of continuing education must be completed for license renewal.

Included in this requirement are three hours of "core" training and three hours of "professional" training. The six hours of continuing education must have been completed prior to Movember 30, 2009.

You may fill the six hour requirement with training from the following sources:

• a government agency
• an educational institution (college or university)
• a professional association

As a convenience, DOPL does conduct training courses that will address the three hours of "core" training. There are DOPL courses scheduled as follows:
